Tim Bengel’s “Monuments at HG Contemporary Gallery
Artist Tim Bengel is a German artist who specializes in creating pictures of buildings and people using a sand and gold leaf technique that is truly unique. His first solo show, entitled “Monuments,” is currently being shown at the HG Contemporary Gallery, 527 W 23rd St, New York NY. The best part is its free to get in!
I enjoyed Tim Bengel’s exhibition ‘Monuments’ because his artwork is unique and not like anything that I would see at other galleries or in museums. Each piece shows just how much time and effort went into making them, and it helped me gain respect for the artist and his work. While at the gallery, I actually had the opportunity to meet Bengel and talk to him about his creative thought process, his choice of medium, and much more! Overall, going to this exhibition was a great experience, and I gained a bigger appreciation for artists who think outside-of-the-box when it comes to their artwork.
