Artist of the Week: Nan Goldin

Artist of the Week: Nan Goldin

Nan Goldin’s work focuses on the undocumented aspects of human relationships. Goldin often photographs her family and friends as they navigate illness, addiction, sexuality, and LGBT identity. The raw emotion in photographs such as Gina at Bruce’s Dinner Party can evoke an almost painful feeling of identification- who can’t identify with the feeling of isolation at a social gathering?
