As the weather continues to get cooler and Thanksgiving grows near, this week’s Artist Inspiration is a fall mood board, courtesy of French post-impressionist painter Édouard Vuillard. Vuillard’s warm, intimate paintings often depict domestic scenes, and many, like The Album, were intended for display in the homes of his friends and patrons. The muted tones and repeated patterns of this painting reflect its decorative use.
