Gregory Mosher

Gregory Mosher came to Hunter from Columbia University in 2017, where he had launched the Columbia Arts Initiative, a university-wide effort to make the arts part of every Columbian’s education. He is a theater and film producer of more than 200 plays at the Goodman and Lincoln Center Theaters (both of which he led), on and off-Broadway, and internationally. His films appeared at the Toronto, LA and Venice Film Festivals. His focus as a producer has been new work and audience accessibility. Colleagues have included Edward Albee, Samuel Beckett, Leonard Bernstein, David Mamet, Elaine May, Arthur Miller, Richard Nelson, Mike Nichols, Jerome Robbins, Stephen Sondheim, Tennessee Williams, Nobel prize-winners Wole Soyinka and Derek Walcot, and countless of the country’s outstanding actors. He is the recipient numerous American theater awards, including two Tonys.

Dara Meyers-Kingsley
Founding Director, Office of the Arts
Director, Muse Scholar Program

Dara Meyers-Kingsley is the Founding Director of the Office of the Arts which was established in 2016. She currently serves as the liaison for the college’s partnerships with arts and cultural institutions throughout NYC. She is also the Director of the Muse Scholar Program, an honors program for high achieving students with talents in the arts. She previously served as the Director of the Mellon Arts Fellowship Program and the Arts Across the Curriculum initiative at Hunter. She has extensive experience as a contemporary art curator with an interdisciplinary curatorial practice. Her exhibitions, often including visual art, media, installation, and performance have been presented at  LA MOCA, MCA Chicago, The New Museum, The Andy Warhol Museum, Miami MOCA, the Brooklyn Museum and the Mattress Factory. Previously, she was Director of the Film and Video Collections for the Andy Warhol Foundation and curator of Film and Video at the Brooklyn Museum.  Ms. Meyers-Kingsley has lectured on media art history in the United States and abroad and is the author of museum catalogues and articles on Adrian Piper, Andy Warhol, 1970s video art, public art and contemporary media. As an educator she has taught aspiring artists in Parsons’ MFA Studio Art Program, undergraduates in Hunter’s Macaulay Honors College and, since 2011, the first year Muse Scholars.

Jenny Rroji

Jenny Rroji brings over 15 years of experience as a performer and arts administrator with a career spanning higher education and the nonprofit sector. A professional pianist with a classical music background, she holds degrees from the Manhattan School of Music and the National Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris, France.

Chad Kaydo

Chad Kaydo is a playwright currently developing work with the Brick Theater and Clubbed Thumb. He produces and hosts Quick + Dirty, a development series for short works by new collaborators. He is a product of public schools and the son of two public school teachers. Chad is a former magazine editor and copywriter with an MFA in playwriting from Hunter College.

Joey Merlo

Joey Merlo is a theatermaker and educator who has taught all over the world including Greece, Peru, and Ghana. They are a New York Foundation for The Arts Playwriting Fellow whose recent projects include Midnight Coleslaw (The Tank) and On Set with Theda Bara (The Brick). Joey holds a BFA from NYU Tisch and an MFA from Brooklyn College.

Jack Perry

Jack Perry is a recent graduate of Hunter’s MFA program in studio art. His work touches on sculpture, collage, and writing. In addition to his studio practice, Jack has over ten years of professional experience as a graphic designer and illustrator.

Noël Masal

Noël Masal is a Hunter College alum, having studied Art History and Arts Management. She is a visual artist, actor, and musician born and raised in New York City. Her passions include fostering Hunter’s rich art community, and she enjoys collaborating with other theatre artists to create new, heartfelt productions.

Sana Rodriguez-Majchrzyk

Sana Rodriguez-Majchrzyk is a Mexican-American designer, educator, and native New Yorker. She has six years of experience in graphic design including print and digital, as well as web design, and video editing. She is passionate about exploring the connection between design, education and social services.

Kanishka Awasthi

Kanishka Awasthi (they/them), is a resident-alien, Thomas Hunter Honors Program Scholar, poet and the founder of the book-club/artist collective Chai Coffee Lit. Over the period of their academic journey, they’ve been driven to find ways to make ways and spread the insights that they gain, through their academics, to the community. They aim to foster a safe space of healing and come up with a deeper understanding of experiences, shared troubles and joys.

Katrina Carlyle

Katrina Carlyle is a theater major and media minor at Hunter College. She is driven by her passion for acting but loves all things art and community centered. Katrina also co-hosts the radio show “Just Gibberish” on Hunter College’s station, WHCS.
