Arts Ambassadors Application Due

Are you passionate about the arts? Do you want to connect with fellow students and arts leaders? Are you interested in a career in the arts and arts management?

Arts Ambassadors are student volunteers who are dedicated to building a flourishing Arts community at Hunter College. As an Arts Ambassador you will have the opportunity to develop career skills, engage with our Cultural Partners, and make new friends who share an interest in the arts.

  • Undergraduate students currently enrolled at Hunter College.
  • A demonstrated interest in the arts. You do not need to be an artist or an arts major. We welcome anyone with an interest in and willingness to learn about the arts (including but not limited to visual art, dance, music, film, literature, theatre) and/or arts administration.
  • Able to serve for a one-year term.

The Arts Ambassadors will join either the Events & Programming Team or the Media Team.

Events & Programming Team

Arts Ambassadors who want to attend, lead, and produce arts events. These events can range from group visits to a Cultural Partner’s (virtual) program, an art-making session, or a Career Insights talk.

  • Attend at least one meeting per month
  • Co-host one event per semester
  • Serve as a campus liaison to one Cultural Partner

Media Team

Arts Ambassadors who want to share their experience of the arts at Hunter and beyond through blog posts, photos/videos, and Instagram stories.

  • Attend at least one meeting per month
  • Create one blog post/video/IG takeover per month
  • Contribute to @ArtsAtHunter social media accounts
  • Serve as a campus liaison to one Cultural Partner
