Summer Arts Institute
Summer Arts Institute, a free, four-week arts program for New York City public school students entering grades 8 through 12, is seeking volunteer arts interns in the following categories: dance, film, instrumental music, production, strings, theater, visual art, vocal music, arts administration.
This intensive program will be held at Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Queens, July 9-August 3, 2018. (Set-up and Closing dates prior and post institute preferred but not mandatory) Summer Arts Institute is administered by the New York City Department of Education’s Office of Arts and Special Projects.
- Strong interest in the arts and teaching middle and high school students
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience a plus
- Superb interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Current, matriculated graduate or undergraduate student

STIPEND: N/A. This is a volunteer position without pay, however you are encouraged to apply for funding from other sources such as your college or university if funding is available. Independent study credit is often granted as well.
Transportation reimbursement available.
